Aviv Geffen is a well known Israeli rock singer, lyricist and songwriter. Geffen is known for his politically controversial and anti-social lyrics and behavior; he is also known for an androgynous appearance reminiscent of David Bowie. Apart from a 12-year solo career, Geffen is also a member of Blackfield, a collaboration with Porcupine Tree frontman Steven Wilson. An important moment in his career was in 1995, when he performed at a peace rally at Tel Aviv, a few minutes before Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated. Aviv Geffen is also the son of well known Israeli poet Yehonathan Geffen, and nephew of former Israeli Foreign Minister Moshe Dayan.
