Artist Biography

Stuttgart is not necessarily one of the largest cities in Germany, but is by far one of the most beautiful ones. In addition Stuttgart is the home of perhaps the best Punk, Skin, and Hardcore scene in Germany which is relative to it's solidarity and anti-fascist background. Above and beyond all that Stuttgart is the home of the Freiboiter. The band has been around since 1997 and in it's current incarnation since 2001. Their sound reflects all musical influences including Punk, Oi!, Rock n Roll, and Hardcore. Simply call it Streetpunk or make up your own name. It is partially political and socio critical, but also ironic and drawn from everyday life. These lyrics are combined with driving riffs and rhythmic melodies. The 60 minute show will be enriched with covers of Agnostic Front, Slime and The Business: not to mention the presence of an insane singer! Think whatever you want about the Freiboiter. With all the energy and enthusiasm these five boys have, they need not worry about any competition. Especially not from doubtful reunion bands that have "come into their years". They have proven their knowledge and know how several times, both nationally and internationally, at shows with Brigada Flores Magon, Broilers, Heros & Zeros, Klasse Kriminale, Loikaemie, Los Fastidios, The Lurkers, Lokalmatadore, Miburo, The Movement, On File, Oppressed, Prowlers, Pillocks, Peter And The Test Tube Babies, Sham 69, Stage Bottles, Sidekick, Scrapy, U.K. Subs, Volxsturm and more. It would be wrong to call the Freiboiter a political band, however, the term "Antifascist Oi!" is not only a label, but is a firm component of the understanding of the band. Nowadays only a few so-called Streetpunk bands can say the same of themselves. So give them some beer (not too much), tie your boots and get ready for the sound from Stuttgart RockCity!
