JJ Project (Korean: 제이제이 프로젝트) is a South Korean pop duo consisting of JB and Jr. They were formed by JYP Entertainment and released their first single "Bounce" in May 2012. The duo went on hiatus in 2013, and in January 2014, they debuted as members of the hip hop boy group GOT7.
In 2009, JB and Jr. individually auditioned for JYP Entertainment. With their exceptional dance skills and good looks, they tied the 5th Open auditions as the overall winners and later became trainees under JYP Entertainment. During their trainees days, JB and Jr. appeared in San E's "Tasty San" music video.

In 2012, both of them got a role on the KBS drama Dream High 2, the sequel to the 2011 hit drama Dream High. On February 3, it was announced that JB and Jr. would debut officially as a boy band sometime during the second half of 2012.
