Not to be confused with heavy metal band Förté from Dallas, Texas.
FORTE released four quality albums in the Nineties, with their style being a power/thrash mixture not unlike early METAL CHURCH. Since their last release ("Rise Above", in 1999), several lineups have been reported, with the Scott brothers remaining the core of the band, and work was supposed to be underway on a new album, but nothing has yet come of this. Most recently (May 2004), a new band called THE KILL has emerged, featuring several former members (though not the Scotts).
They reunited and released the album Unholy War in 2012.
