Gotcha!, the P-Funk band from Haarlem, The Netherlands. First appearance on Ein Abend In Wien-sampler with ‘Words and Music from Da Lowlands’ which also became a single and the name of the debut album. Other single was of the same album ‘Mathilda Da Wicked Witch’. George Clinton made a guest-appearance on this record and members of Gotcha! frequently joined him on stage whenever he played the Netherlands. Sleeve design was done by Joost Swarte, a famous graphic designer. Last song of the record (Bold As Love) is a sample from Jimi Hendrix saying ‘Anger’. In Dutch this sounds as if he’s saying: this is the end. Single of the second Album Gotcha! Gotcha! Gotcha! was ‘Naked’. They scored one small hit in their own country called ‘Je Moet Je Bek Houwe!’ in the summer of 2003 with rap crew Moordgasten and Def P of Osdorp Posse.
