Absolute Body Control is a Belgian electronic music project established in 1979. Founded by Dirk Ivens, the group is recognized as a pioneer of the minimal electronic and new wave scene, blending influences from EBM, synth-pop, and industrial music. During their initial run until 1984, the band released several self-produced cassettes and a single, though they did not release a full vinyl album at the time.

Following the group's dissolution in 1984, members Dirk Ivens and Eric Van Wonterghem went on to achieve further success in influential acts such as The Klinik and Sonar. Interest in the project remained high, leading to compilation releases in 1993 and 2005.

In 2006, the duo officially reformed and began performing live again. This comeback was marked by the release of WindWind (2007), featuring re-recorded versions of their classic tracks, followed by the 2010 album Shattered Illusion, which contained entirely new material. Recently, the band celebrated its 40th anniversary with extensive retrospective releases, including the 2020 box set Lost/Found and the collaborative album 1980_2020, featuring covers of their work by various artists.
