Francois and Wynand grew up in Bellville and have known each other from a very young age. Their mutual passion for music led them to become the best of friends. Over the years they have been involved in various music projects and bands together, of which Fokofpolisiekar is the most well known.
In 2007 Fokofpolisiekar decided to take a break. This gave them an opportunity to express their mutual musical interests and they started writing songs together for the first time in years.
Their debut album was released at the end of November 2007. It was recorded at Bellville Studios and produced by Theo Crous. The album is a vague account of what happened in the previous year. Stories of endless parties, binge drinking, fights, the connection they have with their close friends, and living in Cape Town
