Babbu Maan debuted in 1998 with his album Sajjan Rumal De Giya which was not accept by audience.Babbu Maan comes again in 1999 with Tu Meri Miss India. Tu Meri Miss India had some new songs and some old songs from Sajjan Rumaal De Giya. Tu Meri Miss India which went on to became an instant success. Babbu Maan third album Saaun Di Jhadi was released in 2001. It sold over ten million copies in India alone.Saaun Di Jhadi have one of the best romantic songs(Saaun Di Jhadi,Chan Chanani,Raat Guzarlayi,Dil Ta Pagal Hai,Ishq,Touch Wood) of punjabi music industry. This album was in controversy for a song called "Kabza". With this album Babbu Maan becomes a youth icon.In 2003 Babbu Maan start his carrier as music director,actor for a Hindi movie Hawayein in which he worked alongside Sukhwinder Singh,Jaspinder Narula. He was also a playback singer in the film. Babbu Maan forth album Ohi Chann Ohi Rataan was released in 2004 and was a success album. In 2005 Babbu Maan comes with his fifth album Pyass which is one of the highest sold punjabi album, and every song of the album was liked by audience. In 2006 babbu Maan work in a film Rabb Ne Banaiyan Jodiean which was a flop but the music of was hit and the music rights of the film's music was sold in 1 crore rupees. In 2007 Babbu Maan debut with a hindi album Mera Gham which was a successfull album. In 2009 Babbu Maan released a religious album, Singh Better Than King. A song from this album "Ik Baba Nanak Si" was banned by the government.The album sold more than 25 million copies in India. Babbu Maan worked also as a playback singer in some hindi films like Hawayein,Vaada Raha,Crook,Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster and in some punjabi films like Waagah,Dil Tainu Karda Ae Pyar. In february 2013, Babbu Maan announce on Facebook that he is working on his sixth album Talaash - The Search Of Soul. Talaash - The Search Of Soul is babbu maan's punjabi comerciale album coming after 6 years because Mera Ghum was a hindi album and Singh is Better Then King was a religious album. Babbu Maan also sing some lines of a song from his upcoming album on a live show in Ludiana.
