Dropkick Murphys er et Celtic punk band fra Quincy, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. I begynnelsen spilte de i kjelleren på frisørsalong til en venn, der spilte de en blanding av Oi!, irsk musikk og hardcore. Dropkick Murphys startet i 1996. Bandet slapp ut mange ep'er og etter en stund fikk de platekontrakt med Hellcat Records. I 1998 slapp de ut sitt første album, Do or Die. vokalist Mike McColgan forlot bandet senere det året og han ble erstattet av The Bruisers' vokalist Al Barr. I 2006 var de hovedattraksjon på den norske Storåsfestivalen.
