Bryan Ferry urodził się w 1945 roku w Anglii. Zaczynał jako wokalista w zespole the Banshees, następnie dołączył do Gas Board, aż w 1970 roku wraz z Grahamem Simpsonem założyli Roxy Music. Zespół odniósł ogromny sukces, a Ferry już w 1973 roku wydał pierwszy solowy album - "These Foolish Things". Do 1978 roku artysta nagrał jeszcze 5 solowych płyt. Kolejną wydał dopiero w roku 1985 i był to jego pierwszy krążek po rozpadzie Roxy Music. Bryan ma na koncie jeszcze 11 solowych albumów, w tym najnowszy ("Dylanesque"), który ukazał się w roku 2007. Tym razem wokalista wziął na warsztat piosenki amerykańskiego barda Boba Dylana.
