With the addition of a new guitarist, Edinburgh-based four- piece rock band A Fight You Can’t Win are ready to relaunch their campaign to unleash their music on the masses.
A Fight You Can’t Win take punk, grunge and pop hostage, then give them a beating until they agree to contribute to the band’s powerful and aggressively dynamic sound. Matthew, Paul, Sander and new recruit Lesley take this raw material and use it to fashion short, sharp shocks of songs which deliver unblockable roundhouse blows to the senses.
Northern Irish Paul & Matthew met Dutch drummer Sander through a musician’s website, then started on their mission to create catchy, heavy tunes which – at less than three minutes long – don’t outstay their welcome. In summer of 2010, fierce Scottish axe goddess Lesley joined the ranks, rounding out A Fight You Can’t Win’s sound with her firebrand guitar skills.
The band gig hard, taking the arsenal of songs from their hard-hitting debut album on the road whenever they can. Impressing both audiences and critics alike with their no- holds-barred aural assault, they are now set to make another push for the front in their battle against musical mediocrity.
