The Offspring est un groupe de punk rock américain formé en 1984 à Huntington Beach, en Californie, par Dexter Holland et Greg Kriesel (Greg K).
The Offspring a été considéré par la presse comme incarnant le renouveau du punk rock aux États-Unis dans le milieu des années 19904.
Ils ont réalisé huit albums, deux compilations, quatre EP, trois DVD et une vingtaine de singles. Chaque album, depuis la sortie d'Epitaph Records Smash s'est vendu à plus d'un million d'exemplaires, excepté Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace dont seulement 800 000 copies ont été vendues.

The Offspring est composé de quatre membres : Dexter Holland, au chant et à la guitare rythmique; Noodles, de son vrai nom Kevin Wasserman, à la lead guitar et au chant; Greg Kriesel à la basse et au chant; enfin Ron Welty à la batterie jusqu'en 2003, puis, à partir de 2007 Pete Parada, l'ancien batteur des groupes Face to Face et Saves the Day.
