Megadeth is the seventeenth and final studio album by American thrash metal band Megadeth, released on January 23, 2026 via Dave Mustaine’s Tradecraft imprint in partnership with BLKIIBLK and Frontiers Label Group. Produced by Dave Mustaine and Chris Rakestraw, the self-titled record captures the band’s enduring blend of aggressive thrash riffing, intricate musicianship, and incisive lyrical themes across a concise set of new material. The album features lead single “Tipping Point” along with additional tracks such as “I Don’t Care,” “Let There Be Shred,” and “Puppet Parade,” and includes a special bonus reinterpretation of “Ride the Lightning,” a song Mustaine co-wrote during his early years with Metallica. It marks the only Megadeth studio release to feature guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari and the first since 2009 to include bassist James LoMenzo. Upon release, Megadeth debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, the band’s first chart-topper in its four-decade career.
