I was born in January

I met her in the snow and we struck up a conversation.
She spoke of harshness and cold like I had never known.
As our conversation progressed the light around us faded
leaving only the twinkling of stars and the reflections of snow.
I asked why be so polite if she was so cold?
and she simply stared back before opening her mouth.
Out poured a song so chilling that I froze as she approached.
In the end I never left that place where I met her in the snow.
