Borderland is the fifteenth studio album by Finnish progressive/melodic metal band Amorphis.
The album was produced by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Denmark, marking the band’s first collaboration with him.

Lyrically and thematically, Borderland explores ideas of transformation, spiritual and mythological “borderlands,” and the tension between light and shadow.
Musically, it continues Amorphis’ signature blend of progressive metal, melodic death metal, and folk influences — combining heavy riffs, atmospheric keyboards, and a dynamic mix of clean and harsh vocals.

The cover artwork is by Dutch artist Marald van Haasteren.
