User Album Review
Few men master the funky grooves of house like Armand Van Helden. His DJ sets are luxurious, sensual treasures. His productions are soulful, powerful, and 100 percent boss level funk. He dropped his first album in the late ‘90s, and a bit of that eras wild brightness still exists in his timeless tunes.

His 2007 record Ghettoblaster is an uncontested classic. He captured a new generation when he teamed with A-Trak to become the loveable disco duo Duck Sauce. He’s been touring the world tirelessly to deliver his sermon of solid vibes, but the one thing he hasn’t done in the last nine years is put out a damn proper album - until now.

Extra Dimensional is 12 glorious tracks of mind-knockin’, universe-straddling house gold. Straight from the intro, you know what kind of head trip you’re in for. It’s kitschy, strange, silly, and just fun. It’s a shock of energy on “The Bronx UFO,” and “Oz Moses” is the kind of unifying groove the world so desperately needs. "Gno" is just dope. Not much else need be said. It’s full of unexpected twists and turns, and by the time it’s done, you’re pretty sure you’ve had a close encounter of the four-to-the-floor kind.

Extra Dimensional sees full-fledged release on Spinnin Records, Nov. 25, but you can listen to it in full below exclusively on Billboard Dance.
