I would like to test this before rolling it out fully to the new strAlbumStripped field. Hows this for a example set of 500 albums: http://www.theaudiodb.com/blank.php currently removing these characters: array('!', '@', '#','$', '%', '^','&', '*', '(',')', '_', '-','+', '\'', '[',']','{','}',';...

Yep I don't see any major downsides really, its a great idea.

I'm working on it now but it will be a little bit until the data is copied in the tables.

Ahh Yes sorry those are the main fields I use :)

I just copied the db insert code but I get the artist/album/track names from an internal lookup.

Yep sorry should have replied that I have now fixed this issue :)

Thanks for pointing it out.

This was just some legacy data inconsistency. I ran a script to fix all the strAlbum fields in the track table.

I've imported about 155,000 song hashes now. I focused particularly on the artists in our music charts.
