Tony LeMans was a singer/songwriter who signed to Prince’s Paisley Park label in 1989 and released his eponymous debut album the same year. He was working on his second album at the time of his death.

He was 29 at the time of his death. LeMans was driving home to Malibu, Calif., at about 6 a.m. June 24 after a night of recording demos for his second album and then hanging out. He crashed his 1982 red Porsche 911 on the Pacific Coast Highway. It is believed he fell asleep at the wheel.
