Album Description
Available in:
Under Reprisal is the debut album of the Canadian melodic death metal band Threat Signal. It was produced by Christian Olde Wolbers of Fear Factory and co-produced by Threat Signal.
Barely a year after its release, everyone except lead singer Jon Howard had left the band. The first one to leave was rhythm guitarist Rich Howard on August 1, 2006. He was replaced by previous bassist Marco Bressette who changed to guitar and new bass player Pat Kavanagh had joined. In March 2007, Threat Signal began demoing new material, but was hampered by second departure, this time Marco Bressette's. The band announced a search for a new guitarist the same day, while former guitarist Rich Howard would join the band temporarily to fill in for the remaining tour dates. Threat Signal was tapped as the opener for the Tour and Loathing trek alongside Protest the Hero, All That Remains, Blessthefall, and The Holly Springs Disaster. Shortly after this tour, guitarist Kyle McKnight parted ways with Threat Signal in June 2007 due to personal differences with the remaining members of the band. The band's drummer, George Parfitt, also departed later in 2007 to focus on his family life. The remaining members of band, Jon Howard and Pat Kavanagh reformed the band’s line-up with the new additions of drummer Norm Killeen and guitarists Travis Montgomery and Adam Weber. This line-up managed to record one new album (Vigilance) but after that even more departures took place with Adam Weber and Norm Kileen being replaced by Chris Feener and Alex Rüdinger respectively.
